no I am 19 and still watch anime!

Let me guess, you're an American. The United Sates is really the only country in the world that looks down on animation as being for kids only. Everybody else knows better.

So their's nothing wrong with. But their is plenty wrong with the people getting after you.

You're welcome. For what it's worth I'm 35 and I still love cartoons. It's a very versatile medium and I'm always fascinated by the boundaries being pushed by animators.

I'm 21 and I just bought the first seasons of Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beaver's, Hey Arnold, and AAAhh Real Monster's. There's no rule book anywhere that says you have to grow up at a certain age. You only have one life to live, you should live it the way you want to, not the way everyone else expects you to and if that means watching cartoons then watch them. They're rated G for "general" audiences, meaning they are for everyone. By the way, who said that cartoons are only made for kids anyway?

Watching cartoons is not bad at all, at any age. I think it's ridicules that people feel the need to judge others for what they like. Overall, I think it's just a matter of preferences. Like chick-flicks being for just teen girls, or action films being just for boys. We're in a world where anyone can enjoy anything. Some enjoy these simple innocent type cartoon stories, not saying Pokemon is an innocent kiddy story.

I watched the show back when I was in middle school and even then some considered me being too old to watch the show. Of course, I didn't care i was not going to deprive my self from something that I liked simply because others thought I shouldn't.

I think I outgrew these kind of soft stories before graduating high school. I was simply just into a little more challenging "grown" stories. However, from time to time I would try to catch an episode on-line just to be brought back in time when I used to enjoy these kind of shows.

Now that so many years have passed by, I can say that I can watch an episode and actually get a bit bored. It's just so predictable. I guess I used to enjoy the super powers of each pokemon and so on. I can watch old episodes, the ones when everything was starting and each episode was a bit different. Watching recently new episodes is like watching the same old script from the past just with new drawings. So that's where I get a bit bored. However, I still try to at least watch part of an episode once a year, just to feel nostalgic.

No .The Fare on ABC , NBC and CBS is terrible nothing worth watching . Some Cartoons are better written than the ones with live actors .

I'm 24 years old and I do not really watch cartoons anymore. I came on this board because I keep hearing about/seeing Pokemon post around the web like people still watch this cartoon.

With that being said, I have nothing against it. On contraire, I used to love Pokemon and Dragonball Z. Out of anything, I always want to go back and watch Dragonball Z. Just because I loved the series even having watched some of the original Dragonball and watched it for years, but never got to the ending episodes (kinda faded out of it after the cell saga). I grew up and just faded out of cartoons.

Pokemon on the other hand, I've grown out of that. Something about a grown ass man liking Pokemon just gives me a bad feeling! My friends like the Pokemon video games still but even those just seems odd for a guy to play. With that being said, I do miss the old days of Pokemon and just being a kid. No bills to pay, work, college, and life. Just a Pokemon fanatic 24/7. I used to LOVE Pokemon, I was obsessed. I went to the Pokemon league at the toy store every week, I had all the gameboy games, I even had some rare Japanese cards in mint that are probably worth money today if people are still into that stuff. One was a three-set card kit and another I had a packet of holograms from Japan. They got to be worth something. I also got all the cards from the movies.

All in all, you should just watch what you want to watch. If you like cartoons, go watch cartoons. Who cares what other people think.

I'm 24 and I've just recently got on to Netflix to rematch the first series of Pokemon. It is a little bit silly and predictable now that I'm an adult but I do like the nostalgia of it. I've always played the game from my gameboy to gameboy colour and I even bought a DS just to play these games.

So I don't think it's childish at all everyone has different tastes and i would personally rather watch kids cartoons than half the rubbish shows that air on tv these days.
