Chomsky got it: it's most likely the original "The Terminator" from 1984 but definitely one of the Terminator movies. The original sounds closest (and in my view is the best of the Terminator series). Original trailer, "The Terminator" (1984) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger: http://youtu.be/k64P4l2Wmeg There is another scene that shows Schwarzenegger emerging
so it is clear he is made of metal (with skin covering the metal to make him look human;
I will see if I can find that. Awww what a shame. I haven't seen it yet. My interest was piqued when I ran across this clip: "Guy with a Neck Brace." http://youtu.be/ZCw3kLZdrCc I believe this segment is from Season 1 Episode 5. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Important_Things_with_Demetri_Martin OP, I believe your movie may have been identified (see jekporkins' post) but in the theme of neck braces, I couldn't resist posting this amusing clip from Demetri Martin: Series: "Important Things with Demetri Martin" Clip: "Guy with a Neck Brace." http://youtu.be/ZCw3kLZdrCc (Trivia: sketch comedy series that aired on Comedy Central beginning in 2009; I believe this segment is from Season 1 Episode 5.) I believe jekporkins nailed it with "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." See clip I posted. Let's see if the OP confirms. This one has me curious, too! I'd be willing to bet it is "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." Hilarious movie, as I recall. Yes! I believe you've nailed it. Hope the OP will return to confirm. Here is a clip from an infamous scene from "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" (1988) with Steve Martin and Michael Caine as the older guy: "The Whip Scene" or "Can you feel this?" http://youtu.be/14nilke-mtQ For your TV series, could it be "Sledge Hammer!"? Opening intro: http://youtu.be/cQl6r0fqRAI From wikipedia: "'Sledge Hammer!' is an American satirical police sitcom produced by New World Television that ran for two seasons on ABC from 1986 to 1988. The series was created by Alan Spencer and stars David Rasche as Inspector Sledge Hammer, a caricature of the standard 'cop on the edge' character." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sledge_Hammer!#Intro_and_theme_music "The introduction to the show features long, near-sensual closeup shots of Hammer's .44 Magnum as it rests on a luxurious satin pillow. The show's ominous theme music, composed by Danny Elfman, plays in the background. Hammer then picks up his gun, spins it expertly like a cinematic Old West gunslinger, and utters his catch phrase ("Trust me, I know what I'm doing") just before firing into the screen, making a hole in it." Is Movie #2 "Nightlight," also known as "View of Terror"? It was a television movie made in 2003. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightlight_(2003_film) She had
a pet bird which the stalker steals and threatens to eat.
I understand both of your points; however, it will still show up under "Latest Posts" (and thus be immediately visible for discussion) if it is posted on the actor's board. By posting it under the actor, it stays for perpetuity for anyone interested in him rather than getting forever lost once the discussion moves further down in GD. We should post this under Robert Wagner so people looking for info on him can easily find it. If snepts didn't leave, or if they return, my advice would be to avoid all political discussion regardless of which politician it is. Most everything posted these days regarding politicians is toxic, whether it is about Democrats, Republicans, or any other party. Arguing with others about political topics is pointless: you'll never change their minds and they will never change yours. Why bother? These days with the country unfortunately so polarized, I find it better to look for common ground rather than arguments. You could also use the "ignore" feature. Anyway, as has already been said, the person is probably long gone. I am familiar with Ronan's statement. Rather than pull individual quotes out of Ronan's statement, I posted a link that gived an in-depth response to Ronan. In a case as complex as this, it is not as simple as pulling one quote without any context of the family dynamic or the history of the case. Some lines from the script:
GET IT AWAY! I DON'T WANT PATTERNS. LOOK, JUST GO AND GET TWO OR THREE LIGHT ONES. THAT SHOULD BE ALL RIGHT, DON'T YOU THINK? AS LONG AS THEY'RE PLAIN-- ONE COLOR, NO PATTERNS. NO PATTERNS, I PROMISE.
Read more: https://www.springfieldspringfield.co.uk/view_episode_scripts.php?tv-show=the-twilight-zone-1985&episode=s03e19 That definitely looks like it! Nice googling detective work. :) I will post the answer here in case it disappears from Quora: "It’s an episode of the Twilight Zone—the 1980s revival one. It was season 3, episode 19, entitled “Something in the Walls”. It came out in 1989." Also here is a full transcript of the episode: https://www.springfieldspringfield.co.uk/view_episode_scripts.php?tv-show=the-twilight-zone-1985&episode=s03e19 I found the entire movie script (SPOILERS) http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/Awakenings.html It looks like
that while patterns are a part of the script, it has more to do with catatonic patients' reactions to them and the patterns -- or lack of pattern -- helping them in some instances. I don't see anything about a patient speaking and stating that the patterns were disturbing and causing the patient to have hallucinations in the patterns.
I could have missed it though, as I haven't seen this movie. Good guess! I have not seen that one; it looks intriguing. I looked at this plot summary (warning: lots ot spoilers) and could not find anything about a woman disturbed by patterns.
It does mention floor patterns as a test the doctor uses.
http://ouijaboardmovies.com/awakenings-1990/ Welcome to the forum! You say you think it was made during the 1970s. Do you recall if it is a period piece or depicting a certain era or decade, or was it "modern" for the times? By patterns, do you mean wallpaper, clothing, televison off-air pattern -- did she react to anything specific that you recall? Do you remember any more details? Sometimes even the smallest detail can help in identifying sonething like this. What she was wearing or what anyone else was wearing, her hairstyle, furniture style, colors, etc. Also, what country are you from (so we know where to sleuth) and did you watch it on televison or via a device such as your phone, Roku, cable TV, Netflix? Welcome! Yes, he has; you might want to take a look at this for another perspective. This was written after Ronan's statement. https://ronanfarrowletter.wordpress.com/2016/05/30/hard-questions-for-ronan-farrow-an-open-letter/ Moses Farrow has spoken out against his mother, Mia Farrow, claiming abuse: https://ronanfarrowletter.wordpress.com/2018/01/04/moses-farrow-speaks-out/ Nothing new to those who were around 25+ years ago. For anyone not familiar with the history: https://ronanfarrowletter.wordpress.com/2017/12/13/qa-with-dylan-farrow/ There is a lot of reading and links at that site. Including the latest as of Jan. 4, 2018: Moses Farrow's accusations against Mia. https://ronanfarrowletter.wordpress.com/2018/01/04/moses-farrow-speaks-out/ Can you please post SPOILER in your thread title and then put the spoiler in your first post rather than in your title? It would be appreciated by those on this board who haven't seen the episode yet or haven't watched the series yet.
