In one scene, they did mention "millions" of victims. So if the source DNA was "thousands" (also mentioned in the movie). So to go from a thousand exact matches to millions of total victims, it sounds quite broad, as that translates to around 1000 per match (depends on if thousands = 5000 and millions = 2M, for example). That's way more than all of your living parents, siblings, children, and cousins.
I got the impression it wasn't just her & the kid. It would have spread to millions. Saffin was just giving the two as an example.

I was hoping they'd reveal the Koreans were androids after the boat set off.
As an atheist, I would be more inclined to believe in a god or gods being aliens. If you consider an extremely advanced alien civilization, they would be more than capable of creating humans for example by modifying ape DNA, and giving us speechcraft and intelligence in general through gene manipulation. It's a theme Prometheus has explored. And even Marvel's Thor, in a more pop culture context.
But until we have concrete evidence...

He was a biologist and apparently worked with Robert Oz at some point. Perhaps he was an involuntary test subject like Jackson?
I think at that point, they talked how there's so few of them (soldiers) left. Perhaps none of the remaining people could fly? I don't remember seeing any choppers just before or after that.
I just watched it today, and I have zero knowledge of the comic book. And at least to me, Rorschach started out more as a driven has-been superhero kind of character. Something like the time passed him by, and now he's just hanging out "useless", until he finds something to do. And then all of a sudden, in the prison, he "fingersnap* becomes this archetypal evil criminal mastermind, and then *fingersnap* he's back to normal after getting out. And then suddenly they just dispose of him nonchalantly with zero gravitas. Very very very poorly written character in this film. But at least he had something going on at points. Dr Manhattan had nothing going on and being a whiny "I don't wanna" teenager for almost the entire move. It's like he was a last-minute side character in the movie.
