Are you saying he might be speaking on behalf of his suppiler? 😉😂 But the idealistic Kate works betrer as the innocent, but heroic idealist avatar for the audience... It allows us to see the events subjectively from her perspective... This is key to exploring the key themes of the movie... This isn't a G.I. Joe altogether movie... The disdain CIA has for FBI is well known (they think of them as mall cops)... The second scenario would also imply FBI being in on the team actively and that they would have a say... Even Kate at the end realises the power she had and threatens going to the relavant channels, but is only cowed by phsycial violence as well as the disorientation and isolation of being in over her head... The ref was very weak... Compare to the good Ref of the epic Uruguay vs. Portugal match and it's like watching a different sport. Playacting was ignored mostly in the 2nd half, although he was fooled in the 1st and even Ronaldo got a yellow card for getting in the ref's face... Also compare to the solid ref in Colombia vs. Japan, which had an early red card against Colombia, but the match continued with a high level of play... Two very different refs in terms of the amount of contact allowed and speed to use cards/give fouls, but both refs were firm and made it very clear what was expected early in the match... On the other hand, Geiger (?), the ref of the Colombia vs. England match had lost entire control of the match almost from the begining... It was not clear what he was, or wasn't allowing and none of the players respected him... There were points where he was physically backing down! And now Maradona has gone on Argentine TV to say that the ref is biased towards England and that the match was 'stolen'... A bit ironic from him 😂... mr. 'Hand of God'... I think at this stage he just wants the headlines... I watch Tennis so the attitude towards gamesmanship and umpires is very different! But it is not a contact sport... I think the solution is to have stronger refs... maybe only allow the captains to raise issues with the refs or do a challenge system like tennis, where each team has one challenge, where they can request VAR to review the ref's call... But with football, contact and such is open to interpretation sometimes, unlike in Tennis... FIFA should consider options and work with the leagues to come up with a proper standard... Anyway, lots of drama this World Cup... Excellent penalties to end that match... P.S. I heard about the Sterling incident, but didn't see it on my broadcast... It was incredible... I can't wait for their match agains Uruguay.... If Cavani is healthy enough to starr for Uruguay it should be an epic battle.... Final worthy 😎 i know, that's why I can't bring myself to watch this despite all the hype 😂😉 Black Swan is iconic the best movie of his that I've seen... Mother! was thrilling and I rank it on par with The Fountain even though the latter is clearly compromised by budget cuts; you can see what it is attempting... Noah was alright... I haven't seen the rest yet... Yes, excellent match. Lots of fun 👍 Mexico were pushing them in the first 20 minutes, but couldn't score and there was little chance they could keep that pace for the whole match... Then it was Brazil gradually gaining dominance, by the 2nd half they were on top. Should be an interesting match-up to see Brasil play Belgium should they win over Japan today. a bit, but the way the father reacts fits into this... Maybe there were no demons and it was just mental illness that was 'hereditary'... 🤔 Some people do this in real life... Sensitive types who can't deal... Or some people with trauma... Dubai 👍 Jeff Koons is far more worthy of such discussion than any mentioned in the OP.... Missed this thread... Went to a couple of World Cup parties, incredible match last night... Also, went out for drinks with friends... I'm glad Denmark are out... Croatia were superior and it's wonderfull to see defensive teams pack their bags and go home in shame having not competed at all... 😁 The penalties were nail biting though! Unbelievable first 5 minutes of that match... I'm glad Croatia are through to the quarters as they should be back in full attack mode 😎 Nearly all of the other side of the draw look more like semi-final matches than round of 16! Incredible result! Yet, Spain were very unconvincing... Weak attack... The characters aren't meant to be likeable, but that doesen't bother me in movies... Parnassus' Imaginarium is underrated... Quality movie I agree... Caleb was a lonely, nerdy guy who cannot seem to understand that he is dealing with a robot, just because she has a nice face... He was the patsy and it takes the final moment of the movie when she leaves him locked in for him to realise it... Although he'd probably end up rationalising her behaviour even then! 😂 I thjnk the reason the rating is so low is that it humanises Nick's character. This is a very controversial thing for a movie to do.
