The canyon run certainly seemed inspired by Star Wars IV It eeked out a small profit, so not a flop. entitled white women are some of the wokest people in the world. That is a stupid question. Did you know there is research out of MIT that shows those who questioned the Covid vaccine tended to be more educated and more informed than those who blindly followed the propaganda? Also, us skeptics knew that natural immunity was far superior than any vaccine well before the CDC finally admitted as such. The sad part is, you are so uninformed, you can't tell when you are being lied to. The fifth gen fighters. Outside of the U.S., only Russia has them and I think at some point in the movie they referred to them as Su-57s. All the fucking snow. The whole purpose of this board is to opine on movies and television shows. HoD is better than most of the stuff on television, but just a shadow of what GoT was. Looks like Chris Pine came prepared for a flood. That is because only those who share Wilde's worldview go to see it. Normal people wouldn't shell out the money to watch that tripe. He is an ex-Harvard prof and is one of the most cited authors in his field. If he is a "pseudo-intellectual", then what is Olivia Wilde who has no post-secondary training whatsoever? That acting school she didn't even graduate from doesn't count. It doesn't teach students anything about the world. It only gives training on how to act. So would I, but she doesn't have the body of the typical A-list actress. That one general said that, but it is also very clear that remotely controlled planes could never complete that mission. Cruise usually plays the same character, but he tests the waters from time-to-time (e.g. Collateral, Rock of Ages, Far and Away, Eyes Wide Shut, Vanilla Sky, Risky Business) Every government spews propaganda, including the Iranian regime. Don't know what Iran has to do with this movie. While it wasn't explicitly stated, the antagonist was Russia as they are the only country with fifth gen fighters besides the U.S. (Su-57s). China claims their J-20 is fifth gen, but it is really a fourth gen. Nope. TG Maverick made more money internationally than it did domestically https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl2500036097/?ref_=bo_da_table_9 Yes, U.S. pilots are the best, not necessarily because of training, but because they are pretty much the only ones that have actual combat experience. The South is just fine. Not everyone wants to live in the middle of some high crime metropolis, and this Southern boy has a Ph.D. I've taken education as far as I can. However, I probably would have made more money over my lifetime if I just learned heating and air-conditioning. There was a lot of non-whites on his menu because he lived in a neighborhood where whites were a minority. The Hound was an awesome character with some of the best lines in the show. some Lannister soldier: "Are you going to die for some chickens?" The Hound: "Someone is" and keep in mind that while he refused knighthood, he was more of a knight than his brother (The Mountain) ever was. He risked his life to protect both Sansa and Arya when he didn't have any tangible reason to. He just knew it was the right thing to do. Yes, he did some horrible things along the way, but his overall character arc was towards the light rather than darkness. I agree that some of the casting choices are awful, but if the can get past that, the story is a good one, much better than you typically see on television. He embraced wokeness because his masters told him to (see He-Man). Also, don't forget that his bitching about fan feedback was a major reason the IMDB boards were shut down. He even put it in one of his movies (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back). His early stuff was great, but now, fuck that guy. I think you could argue it both ways. As a pop singer, she has a pretty short shelf life and if she wanted to to make real money doing the only thing she knows how to do, the window was closing quickly. So her father put her out there with a large support system. BTW, a professional manager would have likely taken a much bigger cut of the profit than her father did (see Col. Tom Parker).
