I heard the woman who sings the song in the fillet of soul restaurant in the film was supposed to do the title song but Paul McCartney begged to do it for the titles and then she only got that bit part. She didn't go on to have a big career in movies or music by the look of things. I think she may have got a bad deal. I do like her version of the song and it is on the soundtrack CD although it isn't as haunting as the Wings version which was a great version IMO for the titles. what goes on with the way she kisses bond, sort of brings her mouth around to the side of her face and flicks her mouth up at him a few times. Agree with the other comment up above the hat reaction in the hotel room ..... "whoo whoo get it oouuutta here whooo whoo!" and the reaction when she sees the scarecrow are all botched. Surprised they didn't reshoot those scenes. Another weird one which was 1983 as well was Halloween 3 (the night no-one came home). Where was Michael Myers? Hated by nearly all back then. A bit like Never Say Never Again..... a lot more people appreciate it now. 1983 was the year for it. He doesn't want M to join in again Whilst Roger just kept his eye brows in shape and carried on eating caviar, smoking and drinking martinis. He seemed a real nice guy to the end. I like this movie too. I used to think the opening was terrible with no gun barrel sequence but now I like seeing that weird 007 template moving towards the screen with the filming of the south American river scene from a helicopter emerging and the jarring opening bars of music. Brings me back to when I was a kid. Big pat roach throwing bond about through the health farm, was funny........ Indeed! Seen Octopussy in the cinema when I was wee. Would love to have seen NSNA this then as well. Still like them both today as with all the old ones even up to Licence to kill. Must be nostalgia and I have to say I like the lazyness of Connery in DAF also. The newer Bonds like Die Another Day dont really do it for me and never did although could still waste time watching them when they are on. no primarily because of the cost and I would be really pi**ed off if me and my wife got to the showroom and they had the audacity to add it to my bill anyway. the cop stopping the two inept criminals and Buscemi looks over and says to Grimsrund or whatever his name is "Hey, I'll take care of it" and then makes a complete mess of things going on about compliance with the tags in Braynard, totally unnatural looking. He could only have been more suspicious looking if a gun fell out of his wallet. And after what happened happened Grimsrund says totally deadpan "you'll take care of it!" LOL ah great. We have only seen a few of those so loads to look up and have a go at. Just in time for Friday night too! Thanks again. I was looking for good movies for adults and teens alike but without all the sex and bad lingo. Hard to find similar to Ford v Ferrari. Seen Senna and Rush a while back and they were good although vastly different. I just found the story in this film so intriguing and the way it was filmed, soundtrack and low use of CGI was perfect. I have to say, I am glad this lockdown thing is easing a bit. Working all week and then few sports or events at the weekend was slowly getting to me on a subtle basis. Agreed. Watched this with my son last night with a few coffees instead of beers and now need to find other similar movies to do the same with. Might keep me off having a bottle or two at the weekend. Yea thought so but the ending didnt add up. Thought the woman at the end knew how to beat the RV? watched a bit of it last night, but more interested to see what happens to this thread if we keep going. i tried to make sense of it years ago and thought maybe the shooter thought she was gonna say to much and when she realised she was deviating from the plan that she was in danger that she knew she was about to get shot and shouted no. Or that she realised bond had seen the shooter and started to spin her and she shouted no as she knew Bond was using her as a shield. i watched it today in hd and enjoyed it better than ever. Barbara is perfect as a russian but maybe wooden works because of that. It's one of my favorites but i'm a terrible reminiscer. I even love the man with the golden gun and diamonds are forever and moonraker blew me away when i was a kid and still like it too And Linda carter too 👍 wouldn't say that to his face... even today Agree, could not be remade to imitate... It would be a shambles ...... but the old Columbos would still be the same👍 Me too. Quirkyness off the scale, something about those times were a lot more simple. Can't be replicated now
