What about Ben Stiller, he's got the hair and would be good at clutching about in a crumpled mack. Would he be able to do that accent that Columbo has .... Is it New Jersey, Brooklyn, Bronx?
When I watched this as a kid in the 80s I didn't really know why he killed them. But loved the cat and mouse approach with Columbo catching him out. But now when watching it I would say not many would be sympathetic to Cash's character.

Lol, your comment made me laugh, you are right. Two menacing guys. Blofeld was running a very inefficient scheme with so many killers and diamond transporters to pay. Maybe he realised that and we just seen the end game with wint and kid closing the operation off. Lucky they didn't do Blofeld in as well just for the hell of it. I'd say a kid and wint film could have been created to show their back story

Seen it first in 85 when I was about 10 or 11, mesmerised and terrified but loved it, still love it now. Just watched a real enhanced copy of it. This really helped, a lot more detail can be seen in all scenes. As good or nearly as good as the original. Perkins was really good at adding the creepy factor especially when he was on the phone talking to "Mother" 😱

Aww, this was a great movie for the era and if you were a kid at the time. When I watch it now, I still think it is great but.... I can imagine if it was the first time I seen it I would think it was some sort of lame spy spoof. Come on Bond zooming in and out on the woman with the watch, the Tarzan yell, using the tennis racket against an assassin with Wimbledon sound effects and so on. Still great though.

Saying a 9 because wasn't perfect but I thought it was great. Script was funny, casting was good. Really loved some of the bits ... There trying to fly the tank!!! 😂 And the bit in the Funny farm cinema was great. Thought the bit about the money printing plates was a bit tedious though. Btw good to see other people on this board which might hopefully get back to the way it use to be before IMDb stopped
