Recasting and rebooting Superman was inevitable, we've seen it time and time again with franchises that aren't doing well, you get to the point of bringing in fresh blood in order to start over.

Superman movie doesn't need to be Christopher Reeve-verse to have charm, look at Superman & Lois it has plenty of heart and charm.

Have a Lois akin to TAS not one who was an nonentity the entire time of the DCEU.
Doing traditional Superman not a version that is a Dark Knight wannaba.
Have a Lois akin to Margot Kidder, TAS or Teri Hatcher not one that was an nonentity the entire time in the DCEU.
Can see Rachel doing a Teri Hatcher like performance as well.
