Next time we see the suit they may have tailored it better and have a different muscle suit underneath. The humiliation Cavill faced after Black Adam could've been avoided if the studio didn't let The Rock dictate their scripts and who he should be facing off on screen. Recasting and rebooting Superman was inevitable, we've seen it time and time again with franchises that aren't doing well, you get to the point of bringing in fresh blood in order to start over. It's a test shoot done ages ago with vfx added in, probably had to hastily do a promo shot since they're shooting outdoors soon. Remember when the first footage of The Batman suit came out, there was plenty of mixed responses but when the teaser trailer came out everyone started praising The Batman. So is it possible that the new Superman might be? is it possible that the new suit will grow on people when they see set photos and trailers? New 52 and Fortnite inspired. Obviously he doesn't give a fuck about story or what fans of BA/DC would like to see, he cares more about his ego and brand. The thing that The Rock has been critiqued about is him wanting to steal the spotlight for himself, as evident in the Fast franchise and his DCEU take over bid. The thing he's often critiqued about his lack of desire to share the spotlight or steal the spotlight for himself. Actors have become closely tied to their superhero role in this day and age, but keeping him on would remind people of Snyderverse. His fanbase and Snyder fans is so toxic, they hashtag bring back Henry Cavill, they trash anyone who might be cast as Superman because they feel it's insulting Cavill. And it's become unconventional for actors being closely tie to their superhero role in this day and age, but they're were not gonna keep him on because he would remind people of the Snyderverse and how toxic his fanbase is. He played Supes as mopey/Dark Knight wannabe the entire time he played the character, outside of the one time he played him in Josstice League. The most Superman we got in movies in the last decade was Captain America in the MCU. The most Superman he ever was is in Josstice League the version of Justice League that everybody hates. Aside from Mission Impossible Fallout or the upcoming Warhammer 40k show I haven't seen anything of interest from this guy. He has reached a point of becoming box office poison with Black Adam and Argylle. Being a swell guy has nothing to do with acting ability, he was a plank of wood the entire time he played Superman, outside of the one time he played him in Josstice League, the most Superman he ever was is in the version of Justice League that everybody hates. He sounds better with his real accent, his American accent sounds off. He has become box office poison with Black Adam and Argylle. There was no way he was coming back as Superman due to him being so associated with a version that was incredibly divisive. Lois & Clark, Smallville and Superman & Lois all have it. With Snyder's recent comments about Super fans being brainwashed to what isn't true canon, didn't he watch any Superman shows like L&C or SV? they had better writing than his films. Superman movie doesn't need to be Christopher Reeve-verse to have charm, look at Superman & Lois it has plenty of heart and charm. Snyder made the mistake of making Superman too much like the Dark Knight. Have a Lois akin to TAS not one who was an nonentity the entire time of the DCEU. Doing traditional Superman not a version that is a Dark Knight wannaba. Have a Lois akin to Margot Kidder, TAS or Teri Hatcher not one that was an nonentity the entire time in the DCEU. Can see Rachel doing a Teri Hatcher like performance as well. Shut the fuck up.
