Confirmed by the Marvel Cinematic Universe – An Official Timeline book

In the official timeline book, Marvel lays it out: "As the kindly 838-Wanda gathers the boys and assures the heartbroken Scarlet Witch they will be loved, the Wanda Maximoff of Universe-616 surrenders: She destroys Wundagore-and collapses it upon herself–ending two great threats to all of the Multiverse."

That quote does not state that she is dead.

She'll probably come back in Secret Wars. If they offer Olsen enough money.

Probably true, but they couldn't get Margot Robbie or Adam Driver, so maybe they aren't offering enough. I say they just recast if they still want to use the character. Olsen is great as the character, but if money is the issue not the script or fan interest or whatever, then get another actress.

well the other Multiverse Wanda now has the aether powers that the regular Scarlet Witch had.

So technically Wanda is alive even though its the alternate universe single mother Wanda with the two sons.

man all the 616 Avengers are dying off or something. the only ones that are still alive are Bruce Banner, Clint Barton, Scott Lang, and Thor

And it sounds like Chris Hemsworth wants Thor to die if he does another Thor movie. So I guess Mark Ruffalo, Paul Rudd and Jeremy Renner are still happy keeping their characters alive.

wonder how movie Strange is going to react when he finds out Clea is related to Dormammu or whatever.

Doctor Strange Multiverse movie is great anyway since its a Sam Raimi flick. Strange reacting in pain due to his third eye is classic Raimi, something similar to Ash splitting into two in Army of Darkness

She probably won't be related to Dormammu in the movies, but it's cool that they got Charlize Theron to play her. Look forward to seeing her and Cumberbatch working together. I'd like to hear one of these Marvel actors just admit as long as the money is good and the story is not TOO STUPID I will return.

Besides the housewife single mother Wanda from the alternate dimension she is alive and the movie did show she retained some of Scarlet Witch's magic a little bit when she leaped. But its alternate Wanda though so technically not THE Wanda from the previous Avengers movies
