This film any good?

I started watching it but quit after a few mins. It was boring. Does it get any better?

I guess it all depends on your taste in movies. I personally really enjoyed it. I've watched it three times and each viewing was great. I liked it much more than I thought I would. An instant favorite. I will say, you can't judge the film by just the beginning. It really picks up.

Most of you people won't like this because it doesn't have super heroes or explosions. lol...

However, in Midsommar's defense, it does have a large fire in it, so, some of you might enjoy it.

I just saw it, it's pretty good, but I don't think I would call it great, some of the posters in here are claiming it's one of the best movies ever made. It certainly reminds me of The Wicker Man which has also been mentioned many times.

I think the biggest issue for me is when the (****SPOILER***) old couple die, I think most of them would be doing whatever they can to get out of there, even if that means they have to kill a few people to do it. Sure, they had to take some liberties to make a movie but yeah, planning an exist was missing in this. (***END SPOILER***)

The subject matter is pretty tough to watch too. It's a disturbing film that will turn a lot of people off right away. Still, I found it to be quite entertaining and beautifully shot. If it deserves an award for anything, it would definitely be for cinematography. The acting was a mixed bag for me too. I liked Florence Pugh's performance but was not too thrilled with the others. They did alright I guess. Although, I'm not sure why Will Poulter was in this... I instantly thought of that film "We're The Millers" when I saw him. haha...

So whatever, I'll give it a 7.0 out of 10.

If you're bored after a few minutes. Don't watch it.

It was a reasonable observation and question. It DOES start slow and might seem boring, but it well worth the time and espcially yields returns for careful observers.
