kinda ridiculous that a system 70 years in the future can be easily hacked by people from the past.

Are you getting "Independence Day" hacking flashbacks?...

I think they were hacking the VR headset which would've had to have been at least somewhat based in current reality tech for it to even function. And I don't think it was easily hacked as it was taken back into full control rather quickly. It was a just a minor, brief victory.

no she came back on again later(after the other nerd took over the hacking), thats why they had to explain the Jackpot to her.

Good analogy. Both were cringe.

Love how they convey intense hacking by typing harder and faster and then hand it over to another guy standing behind him when he struggles getting through the pesky super encryption and mega complex firewalls. Ugh.

Yeah, it was like if they were playing Mortal Kombat. Hacking scenes like this look so lame nowadays. And they have mind reading/writing tech but still use the horrendously low bandwidth device called keyboard.

The writer is weak. Hopefully he will manage not to destroy the show.
