I thought Christopher was the son of Guiesspa, since Joanne couldn't have kids.
I know Dickie was told once you stop trying and worrying it will happen, but it seemed it happened over night.
I might need to rewatch the movie.

shareJoanne, they did have a pretty fast 4-5 year time jump at one point. If Guiesspa (or somebody else) was the mother, everybody would have known Joanne wasn't the mother. I think they would have hinted at that at some point. Perhaps Dickie isn't his biological father. Or perhaps it is what they said it was, it just took time.
shareI was confused too. I also thought it was Dickie’s former step-mother and didn’t understand when it was his wife (who supposedly couldn’t have children) that was raising the baby.
