Honestly laughed out loud a few times

Kumail Nanjiani is a talent. I think this is a stepping stone type of movie for him. The movie was mediocre but he definitely elevated it quite a bit.

I agree, it was mediocre but there were some laugh out loud scenes. Kumail Nanjiani is a talent but I thought Dave Bautista was pretty funny too. Their fight at the sporting goods store was fun.

I agree with you both guys. This film was good and it made me laugh actually like no other film in recent memory. That sporting good store is a comedy gold. I was rlof. I rewound it two times to see more of it - it was that good. I think Kumail and Dave make good comedy team. They need to work again.

Yep, I have to admit that I laughed out loud at the part where Stu accused Vic of being a "white cop", and Vic stoically tells him "I'm not white", which led to me laughing uncontrollably for a few seconds as Stu attempted to navigate a maze of political correctness and anger all at the same time. Stuff like that was pretty hilarious.

Bautista's subdued, tired, and over-the-hill cop with outbursts of anger were great, too, he never stole the spotlight from Kumail and had some great comedy timing, too.

It's an OK film, formulaic, predictable, little bit funny in places, with a watchable cast and I liked the music track during the shoot outs.
