Season 3 might be the last season of "The Rookie".

I know this show is a bit over-the-top politically correct, and
I am surprised that I ever watched it, but once I saw a few
episodes I found it to be really great.

Now I see that the last episode coming out this week or next week
and that is it. I really liked all the characters and all the plots
and the light working in of current issues in such clever ways.

Great writing and good acting. I was sorry to see Afton
Williamson's situation not well described or handled. I thought
she was great as Talia Bishop, but her replacement was good as
well.

As far as I can tell they have no decided whether to renew the
series or cancel it. All the main characters have graduated from
their rookie status now, so the name of the show is not so
applicable.

Put me down as voting for a Season 4.

Oh good. Cool, I don't know why, it's kind of corny but I like this show.

The show really is annoyingly PC, but they manage to keep it fun.

you ve summed it up the very best way possible, totally agree.

What isn't?

i like the current season it looks sorta police-like again
too much drama with that PC crowd of the last season

reply

Like what "drama"?

the Jackson West character was awful, the stupid La Fiera angle sucked, and the lawyer husband just kept making stupid mistake after stupid mistake

IMO Aaron Thorsen dude made the show a lot better

He is good. I've always thought the show was kind of simple-minded, politically correct, but I like it because it creates this consistent universe of great police, compared to what we seem to have today. I liked Talia Bishop's character. What I find interesting is how they tangle up the plot and then unwind it so quickly ... very clever writing for the most part.
