It’s hard to believe there is no way for the president to securely recall an order for a nuclear strike, though.

I thought it was very tense and exciting. I like that they didn't explain everything but relied on the audience paying attention and figuring things out from context.

One thing that didn't sit well was how long it took before the missiles could launch and then after all that delay it came down to 5 seconds -it seemed artificial. I understand the captain wanted to go by protocol. Kind of interesting that the first officer wanted to break protocol and launch with less accurate positioning but was the one v insisting of protocol when it came to not reconfirming the launch orders.
