i think we've lost something in contemporary culture by celebrating victim culture so much... the victims-are-the-heros mindset perpetuates weakness and self pity... in earlier times, we recognised that overcoming one's victimhood is the virtue, not the victimhood itself.
He has some redeeming features, he's nice to kids and the little person at his work.
And he has some excuses for his behaviour like the abuse he experienced as a kid and too much medication.
