In regards to this songs sudden resurgence, it's a mixture of repulsion and pride (ultimately, I'm just glad an actual 'great' song is out-sourcing shite by Beyonce'/ Swift/ Cardi-B and all the other shite that clogs up the 'charts')
I can only hope it leads to the 'youth' searching out other good songs (without the benefit of a shite TV show telling them to)
Perhaps such enlightenment, may improve their actual choice in TV shows , also?
Back when Running Up That Hill was new, a co-worker put it on a cassette tape along with some other wonderfully unique tunes.
Never quite followed it up with buying her albums, but definitely put her on my radar, so now I get to feel like some long-time fan who was ahead of the curve for many years.
Only have seen the video recently. At first I thought it was a professional dancer with shots of Kate interspersed, but finally realized this also was her own performance. Remarkable.
Hopefully most people who are interested also know she contributed to the popular Peter Gabriel song "Don't Give Up."
