Just saw an early screening.

I must say, this is one of the WORST movies I have ever seen and I've seen plenty of movies in my lifetime. It's very dark and gritty TDK wannabe and tries to be a dumb CGI action flick at the same time. Plenty of woke dialogue added into the mix! Not worth your time.

"Plenty of woke dialogue added into the mix!"

Such as? Feel free to spoil me.

Are there epic fights at least? It is an anti-hero movie after all so I wouldn't be surprised if it took some TDK route. I saw some mention of Superman (Henry Cavill) appearing in the Post Credit.

Reportedly he appears with Amanda Waller.

consider me 1st in lines at local multiplexs. i love woke dialog. NOT hahahahahah. thank yous for head up.

sounds like too many cook in the kitchens. hollyweird movie are written no longer by writers but by studio exec with thumb up ass.

That's horrible, but what was your take on "Shazam"?

I figure, anti-hero though he is, Black Adam should remain firmly within the "Shazam" universe

By that I mean common cinematic look, tone, pace, etc. Common aesthetic, for want of a better term.

Whatever else could be said about Snyder, "BvS" and his version of "Justice League" shared that consistency.

Now I'm no comic fan, so maybe Black Adam has always been the "Dark Knight" of the Shazam family, but I AM a movie fan, and it's clear to me that Johnson's Adam, however ruthless, fits better with the more cartoonish and whimsical world of Zachary Levi's Shazam.

Guess I'll wait for streaming

EDIT: Well apparently the Rock disagrees with me:

Maybe I'll see it after all. I'm a sucker for "fanboy" films. Ryan Reynolds wanted to be Deadpool forever. The Rock's wanted to play Black Adam for years.

Then again, Affleck REALLY wanted to play Daredevil, so it doesn't always work out. But it's still worth at least a look-see when the actor is that passionate about the role.

Fake! But people fell for it.

Far worse than B&R. Man of Steel already took that title as the worst CBM a long time ago.
