Here we go again

I like Deadpool 1&2

But, when I see the trailer for this every week at my theater, I can't help but think, "This is getting old."

Anyone else feel like that?

reply

Yes. I stopped watching after halfway through the first movie. That's how fast his little schtick got old for me.

reply

Time to get a new job...

reply

Lol. I'm not a 16 year old kid working concessions.

I go to the theater once a week to watch movies. This trailer has been before every movie I've watched since the superbowl.

reply

Two had a strong meh factor to it.

reply

I agree. I loved the first Deadpool, but by the time part 2 ended I was already finding it stale even though it still had some laughs. My interest in another one is pretty low.

reply

Same, and also for the premise.

I think I'm over the whole "multiverse" thing. It's a bit overdone now. First time I saw it was cool, but now everything has to culminate into "different worlds colliding" and I gotta say I don't give a fuck anymore.

reply

Yes, the smartass anti-hero schtick, constantly breaking the 4th wall, is getting old...even annoying.
However, the anticipation of seeing Hugh Jackman stepping back into his Wolverine role...is intriguing.
THAT....is what will make or break this movie. Plus, the choice of songs in the soundtrack will be key.

Oh, and seeing Morena again will certainly be nice.

reply

PLENTY OF US WHO VERY MUCH GIVE A FUCK STILL...I HOPE YOU END UP SEEING IT AND ENJOYING IT ANYWAY.

reply

Oh, you're very much welcome to give a fuck and I'm happy you do. I'm excited for you, and I mean that earnestly. I know the feeling of something coming out that's highly anticiapted. I don't wish that it fails, and I hope it does good. I'm just saying that I don't feel the same excitement this time. It's like 10 years ago, I got excited about a new avengers movie, but now I just dont care that much. That's not to say I don't appreciate it.

And for the record, I'm like 90% certain I will be seeing it eventually. I'm just not hyped for it. It'll probably something I take my teens to, so I'll enjoy it in that respect.

So you're not going to watch Beyond The Spider-Verse either? Did you watch the previous two Spider-Verses?

Not that it's a problem for me if you say no, but, m'kay.

reply

Yes I watched the first two.

Yes I personally think the premise is overdone at this point. No, not that excited for any more.

Mkay.

reply

ABSOLUTELY NOT...THIS IS THE MOVIE OF THE YEAR FOR US...FIRST FLICK WE ARE HITTING THEATERS FOR SINCE ENDGAME....MEGA STOKED OVER HERE.

reply

No.

Deadpool is fucking hilarious and refreshingly unrestrained, with incredible action scenes. If anything, the second film is even funnier, more thrilling and emotional.

If they have kept all of this up with 3 (and the trailer suggests they have) then we’ll have one of the greatest trilogies ever.

If they’ve gone remotely woke or toned things down then it’ll be a major disappointment, because Deadpool is the only superhero property still worth going to the theatre for, and the last comedy franchise in Hollywood.

reply

Well, it definitely feels different and look, I didn't bother with the 2nd DEADPOOL because I thought it would be pretty much the same and you can only tell the joke so much before it grows stale..
