The Lion King Is Going to be A box office Juggernaut....

Its either going to be the 1st or 2nd highest grossing movie of the year next(depending on Avengers 4)

The Lion King is probably the most beloved animated films of all time.....It almost made 1 Billion 25 years ago

Its going to be this years Beauty and The Beast ONLY Bigger....

I'm predicting a 200 Million + opening and a 1.3 to 1.5 Billion dollar gross....Its going to be a PHENOM!

Yeah, i'm there in the seat for sure when it comes out, i'm just not sure if my soul can handle the stampede scene again :-(

reply

Not necessarily, meat people on YouTube are not to happy with he direction this film is taking....first of all there are several people who aren't crazy about James Earl Jones coming back as Mufasa cause it literally defeats the purpose of it being a remake, they literally have to have a different voice actor for it to count as a true remake.
Second, it would that they are literally making some changes to Scar that many people aren't too crazy about, like the fact that they're literally may completely remove Scar's Be Prepared song from the movie which is not over well with meny people....so this movie literally has quite a few things going against it, we'll see see what happens when it comes out.

I personal guaranteed those things you listed will have literally ZERO effect...

and the reason why is....Over 90% of the audience that Will this movie is Families taking their younger children....

simply put, the potential problems you listed wont even register on the Minds of Kids....and Their parents wont care either because they are't going because They are deeply interest in the movie or fans, they just taking Their children...

The Problems you mentioned Truly May only apply to absolute Hardcore Lion King fans...which make up less than 5% of the audience that is going to see this film...

without exaggerating, probably 85 to 90% of the people that see this film wont even know changes were made ....

The Jungle Book changed all kinds of things in The Live action remake, had new and different songs and changed the ending...It still made over 1 Billion and Had excellent WOM and receptions...the reason why was, The Audience were Children and Parents...The children arent old enough to care about a few changes or even really notice them and The Parents are interested enough in the movie or Its original to care they changed something...

I personal Guarantee 1 Billion dollars is the absolute FLOOR for The Lion King

It is a beauty :-)

(Now cue the inevitable hate posts)

reply

Looks exactly how it should, i'm surprised, i don't have anything to complain about from graphical viewpoint. Hopefully there isn't any drastic change to the ending like they did with the jungle book.

reply

Agreed. Wouldn’t mind some surprises though.

reply

Sure there are some in there.

reply

they changed the ending to the jungle book? what was the other ending?

reply

Originally Shere Khan just runs away after his tail is lit on fire and Mowgli goes to live in the village, so basically the opposite of the ending in the new one.

reply

awesome trailer. I hope the movie follows the same plot and storyline form the other Lion King movie. the Animated one.

reply

lol, let's hope, at least we know Mufasa isn't making it this time either based on what the trailer shows.

reply

Impressive! Still need to watch my Jungle Book 3D bluray

The teaser trailer for the upcoming “live action” feature — which is really just photoreal animation — accumulated 224.6 million views globally in its first 24 hours, becoming Disney’s most watched trailer in a day. Across all studios, it’s the second most watched teaser, behind that of “Avengers: Infinity War,” which tallied 238 million views.
