I predict that Kate is going to lose a ton of weight prior to finale

When the show first came out, she said her contract stipulated that she'd have to lose weight during the series, and she said this was a "win-win".

Toby lost weight, but it was later revealed that he was wearing a fat suit early on.

I think they're hiding the fact that she's wearing a fat suit this season too, and in that final future scene with Rebecca dying at Kevin's house, I think we're going to see a very different Kate.

for her health, I hope so. but she has said that she enjoys being fat and that fat is beautiful. fat people say that then they lose a bunch of weight and end up being even more beautiful, just look at Rebel Wilson, she looks pretty good now.

Yuck, she really said that? She's in serious denial, but if that helps her get through the day, whatever.

She sure can afford truckloads of double-stuff oreos now!

FAT is NOT beautiful. It's unhealthy. I'm glad to see society shifting to the point where supermodels don't have to be rail-thin and anorexic, but let's not deny the simple fact that thin is healthy. Fat is not. Please let's find a happy medium, where "Average" weight is socially acceptable.

she is morbid obese too, I remember seeing her on Jimmy Fallon and she couldnt fit in the chair. it was sad to see. but hope she does lose weight. and being rail thin is just as bad.

I really don't know how she can fly in coach on a commercial airline, without buying two seats. Now she can afford to fly First Class, but what about before TIU?

All fat people say that then they lose weight. In the end being fat is bad for you. Hardcore "Proud to be fat" types have succumbed to weight loss Rebel Wilson and Adele to name two.

I read Chrissy Metz lost some weight, and true her character does not appear in the deathbed future scene. Could be true. However, we did see a future scene of her at her next wedding to her British music school colleague and her weight looked much the same.

That scene was filmed quite a while ago. Let's wait and see! I think she'll show up at Rebecca's farewell, much thinner and on the arm of the British guy.

I don't think so. In interviews, we see that she's exactly the same. Plus when she gets married to Philip, she's still fat.

I think what we're seeing here are the ads "Chrissy Metz" transformation is stunning.

So we think it. On top of that...on wikipedia on her page it was put into contract.

Since we've seen her now...25 or 30 years later she's still just as large.

OK I thought all along, the reason they weren't showing Kate in the previews to the final scene... was to surprise everyone with her massive weight loss.

I …. Was….. Wrong! And I'm very surprised. I think it would've been a good storyline and surprise for viewers.

BUT (Spoiler Alert)... I've heard that the final episode is going to project everyone out another ten years, so it still could happen!!

I've always thought she would wear a fat suit in the final season and in public, and show that being married to a new thin guy motivated her to drop a few hundred pounds.
