I'm not sure I'm into "heartwarming" these days. I once dropped into this show and the first thing I see is an infant choking while some hapless guy is drafted to babysit. Felt manipulative. It just looks like it tries too hard, and I don't think I Am Them, (even if I am a sensitive PC liberal).

That was the Dad of the baby. He is hapless and not my favorite character.

I’d say the show is uneven. I think most of the storylines revolving around Randall and family are top notch but the other characters/actors are not as good.

I agree Randall is the best part about the show.

Randall is so f'ing annoying when he draws out his voice dramatically like OPRAH. Just stop. I don't have a good example to quote, sorry.
