It is getting a bit tiresome I agree, I’m glad there’s only one more season.

I will say though I think this is very much a character driven show more than a mystery driven show. Shows like Lost, Fringe, Westworld and Severance have multiple mysteries whereas this just has The Upside Down world.

Even Vecna’s identity didn’t seem like much of a mystery to me as I thought it was predictable who he was and it’s not like it’s been a series long mystery as he’s introduced this season.

Entertaining show but it lacks a compelling mystery aspect.

" I’m glad there’s only one more season."

Nope, this is the last season, 2 more (huge) episodes and done.

Nope the Duffer brothers have said that season 4 is the penultimate season and season 5 will be the last.

Creators the Duffer brothers said: "Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four but — as you’ll see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last."

These last 2 episodes we’re getting next month is Season 4 part 2.

Wow, thanks for the info.

Well, as long at I enjoy it (and so far I do) they can keep making it :D

No problem, it definitely seems like it would be a final season with the finale being 2 and a half hours long.

I’m glad it’s not the final season though haha, they still have to defeat The Mind Flayer, I’d hate for a ‘Game of Thrones’ scenario where they rush it.

Yes, the only reason I have hung on through 3 seasons is because of the characters and the comedic aspects. I do wish it was more of an anthology show with the same characters with a different horror genre from the 80's explored each season. They really don't build on the mystery at all and it is mostly a rehash of the same story.

I'll take the Upside Down world over stupid Russians any day. Introducing a secret Russian base in season 3 was the worst idea and now they are stuck with that ridiculous plotline. I love the chemistry between Murray and Joyce, but the Hopper in prison bits were the least interesting of the season so far.

Honestly though, the show could have ended after season 2. They just keep introducing new characters with each season while the original cast is left aside. Mike, Will, Lucas, Nancy and Jonathan have become boring tertiary characters in a show that used to be about them. The true leading characters of season 4 are Steve, Dustin, Robin, Max and Eddie.

I agree with most of what you said.

At this point, there's no getting around it. Maybe season 3 they could have tried something different, but it's the focal point of the series now.
