But not a great one. It won't win the Best Picture Oscar, but Oldman should win an Oscar for best actor.

A solid 7/10, a good movie BUT with great acting, Gary Oldman and Ben Mendelsohn stood out for me, Lily James was good also, the movie works well as a companion piece to Nolan's Dunkirk.

Funny you say that, I watched Dunkirk right after I watched this one....And you are very right.

Same here lol. I enjoyed it a little more vs seeing it in the theater. Subtitles were a nice addition.

I disagree, I thought it was a great film lol. Hard to say why other than the fact I was engaged throughout the film and thought Oldman's performance was amazing.
Out of curiosity, what do you think could have made this a great film?

Agree oldman should win. Thought it was a good movie too but The Florida Project should have had its slot in the best pic category.

I haven't seen that one, but it did garner a 96% on RT, and a 7.8 on IMDB.

It was excellent! Gary Oldman was barely recognizable. Great make up.
