Biggest opening ever?

fake and inflated numbers to drive up the hype, there are not that many nerds in the western world.

Don't trust news and numbers anymore, they will do anything to take your money .... and mind for that matter

Please show evidence of this.

Yep, some people just cant handle the fact that this is the biggest movie event in history , you dont need to inflate numbers, it is what it is, a hugley popular movie that i doubt we will witness again.

It's up there with star wars and titanic. Yes titanic had extreme legs, that movie was a phenomenon. Something else will come along.....always does.

just saying, don't believe everything these days-
be skeptical ...... user reviews are not that good.

Says "don't believe everything", posts made up statement. Good show

Cinema score A+, RT 96% (user score 92%)

Please show evidence of this, IMDB 9.1 which is very high for a CBM, I wonder how those user reviews came about, oooo I know they paid to watch it, hence the 1.2 billion opening you cabbage

I always hate stuff like this.

I guess we have to clarify what we are talking about.
There is the number of people that actually go to see it. We have those number for stateside and also internationally and then we also have the amount of money made from ticket sales.

The money totals I really don't pay much attention to. I kind of like to know how movies stack up against each other through the decades. It is getting harder and harder to do.

The money thing.....well there is inflation so ticket prices are always going up. They used to be 2-3 dollars back in the 70's now they are 9-10 bucks. Comparing the money values between them.....even if the exact same number of tickets were sold is misleading.

How many people are going to see the film is the more accurate way to compare movies from different generations and decades. That is also getting harder to get a true comparison on because planning for the "blockbusters" is more of a thing now.....theaters put a film in so many theaters now with so many available screens in a way they didn't do 30-40-50 years ago.

Also the population is much larger now. The USA has over 100 million more people than in 1970. Also, international markets are more of a thing.

When it is said "biggest" opening ever. What are we talking about? Total money, how many butts in seats, how many theaters it was offered in vs. movies from 30 years ago, USA totals only, worldwide totals....what?
