Who else waited until right after the credits?

As it was a LONG movie, I, like more than half of the previously FULL theater, waited and watched the credits right until the cinema's "in-between shows" muzak started playing. And we all walked out, disappointed. In fact, one kid told his father "I just watched five minutes of credits for nothing" (or something like that).

I was glad there was no end-credits scene, as it really felt like the end of the Marvel movies for the foreseeable future. The series needs a rest, no loose ends.

After they showed RDJ I left.

reply

I left shortly after the credits began, a quick google search on my phone at the theater revealed no post-credits scenes so I didn't have to wait.

reply

No post-credits scene in a Marvel movie is highly unusual.

reply

This was the end of an era/narrative.

A post-credits sequence would have cheapened the conclusive nature of this movie.

reply

I did exactly the same.

But (spoiler I guess) there was something after the credits. The Marvel logo and the sound of Tony hammering the metal in the cave to make the Mk. 1 Iron Man suit. I liked that.

reply

I was amazed at hearing some people speculating what that sound was. One said a train... The group of greasy looking teenagers were saying something about how it was from Fortnite. Rolled my eyes so hard I damn near fell down the stairs.

reply

Those darn kids and their modern shooty games :)

reply

I didn't place what it was, but there was definitely some kind of clinging or chiming at the end.

reply

It was from the first Iron Man movie.

reply

Yeah, I heard that "blacksmith" sound and somehow I knew it was related to Tony Stark and the "birth" of Iron Man.

reply

Hey, as soon as the credits start, I think you're allowed to get out your phone (JUST NOT BEFORE!) especially if your goal is to check to see if there are any mid/post-credits sequences.

reply

Always check before you go to a movie if there are scenes during or after the credits.
