To those who are not aware, the term "ronin" means samurai without a master. From Wikipedia:
A rōnin (浪人, "drifter" or "wanderer")[1][2] was a samurai without a lord or master during the feudal period (1185–1868) of Japan. A samurai became masterless from the death or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master's favor or privilege.
Yes, that’s the whole point.... he’ll no longer be an archer who’s a member of a superhero team (at least not when we first see him). But a samurai sword-wielding outlaw? Indeed.
He didn’t go by “Ronin” in the comics for no good reason.
