Isn't this kind of like those "and they woke up to realize it was all a dream" stories?

You KNOW that everyone important is coming back. Future Marvel movies probably won't make any reference whatsoever to this apocalyptic event. Everything in the Marvel Universe will be as if it had never been. Reminds me of those "it was just a dream" endings that everyone hates so much.

Yeah, well there's a "time stone" and Dr. Strange has already used it to time travel and to travel between universes, so ya think?

I'd bet real money that he'll jigger things so the whole Snapture massacre never happened, and the only ones who remember the events that never happened are the Avengers. So when he goes back to his New York mansion, Wong won't believe him when he says he saved the universe.

I really hope they don't do this, that would be really lame.

reply

Even though it would be totally lame, I kind of hope they do.

Just so the planet-wide traffic jam back on Earth wouldn't have happened. Imagine if half the drivers vanished at once, along with half the highway patrol and half the tow-truck drivers? It'd take years to clear the logjams! And anyone who got restored to life at a later time would have to buy a new car.

reply

True, but you miss an important caveat. What sacrifices will be made and what will the heroes have to go through to undo this mess?

reply

yeah, it's hard to take seriously when you see Marvel's cash cow Black Panther "dying", but there will be some perma deaths/retirements, Loki already gone, Hamdur? (Idris Elba), Iron Man, probably some other Avengers, etc...
