How come Fury/SHIELD never mentioned Captain Marvel

Or Kree and Skrulls were on Earth to the other Avengers , he and the SHIELD knew since 1995 , let alone Maria Rambeau and her daughter Monica also knew , it's beyond me how it never leaked , also what happened to Goose the Flerken ? Is it still on Earth in present day?

Because the Avengers is mostly white men and Fury knew she doesn't want them around

Lazy Writing.

It's a retcon. What's the big deal? It has happened before in comics and movies. It will happen again.

The creators try to fit it in as best they can and everything carries on.

In decades past everyone just chilled, accepted it and moved on to enjoy the follow up works.

Now movie forums fill up with pointless discussions about such weighty things as: Is it a re-make, re-imagining or a sequel? Why didn't Marty's parents recognize him as the kid who brought them together? Who is the best James Bond? Does E.T. exist in the same universe as the Star Wars Empire?

Blah-blah-blah...

You and everyone else here already knows the answer to your question. There isn't any. Make up your own answer.

What is the point of looking to someone else for an answer? Why even ask the question? Are you a scriptwriter looking for ideas? Is it an obsessive compulsive disorder that compels you to do this?

Just weird...

They planned to have CM in the MCU since 2012 , she was supposed to debut in AoU , they had 7 years and plenty of movies where they could at least mentioned her but they didn't , hence my question , which isn't weird at all.

Scriptwriters are paid hundreds of thousands of $s to come with answers to questions like this. So think like a scriptwriter... how would YOU write your way out of this situation?

Jeez, man, without even thinking more than a minute I could probably come up with a half dozen 'explanations'. There are already lots of explanations out there for this, including one from Feige himself. If you don't like his, invent one yourself.

Stop looking for an argument. Stop asking to be spoon fed. Contribute something to humanity instead.

Some might say that talking about stuff like this is pretty much the whole point of this place.

reply

Talking about 'stuff' is fine. I like to read fan theories, critiques of plot/characters, ideas for sequels/prequels, why something did or didn't work...

Questions like this though are just lazy. "I can't think for myself so somebody here do it for me."

My BS meter goes off and I smell someone who is simply bored and looking for an argument to entertain themselves.

But, go ahead, give him an answer if you think it will enlighten him...

Oh, may I? How generous of you.

People keep complaining about the retcon this movie did. But I don't see any reason Fury would need to tell the Avengers about Captain Marvel since until the events of Infinity War, she wasn't needed. He only summoned her when he realized the severity of what Thanos was doing just before he was killed by him.

You obviously forget the entire subplot of the first Avengers movie where Fury keeps secrets from the team.
