Next, we need a David Bowie movie

I really enjoyed this movie, and thought it was pretty good. I hope they would make a movie like this about David Bowie, another great musician.

Been done, and it was horrible: https://moviechat.org/tt9694312/Stardust

I don't think we're going to get a better Bowie movie than Todd Haynes' "Velvet Goldmine," which captures the allure of Bowie without being directly about him.

reply

Oh, yuck. Velvet Goldmine was awful.

reply

That wasn't bad. I thought it failed to capture Bowie's sense of humor, though.

reply

There was a bad one a year or two ago. Maybe someone will make a better attempt in a few years.

Have we had a Big Bopper movie yet? We've had a Ritchie Valens and a Buddy Holly film but what about TBB?

They all died in a plane crash together.

comparison between them is strange love bowie in labyrinth with the muppets, elvis movies where like watching old western singing cowboys movies haha

reply

We should get a movie about John and Yoko in the late 1960s/early 1970s

reply

A movie about Peter Steele would be cool. Though most people probably do not know who he is today, with the turn modern music is taking.

reply

I NOW SADLY AND EAGERLY AWAIT THE MEAT LOAF MOVIE.

reply

Jack Black would be a good casting choice, he looks and sounds the part.

reply

YES...I VERY MUCH AGREE.

reply

I think it’s inevitable. Probably. And yes I’m talking about a high-profile project that will have big/prestige names attached to it. We’ll see.

I think the next music Biopic should be about Jon Bon Jovi.
It could be as great and fun as Bohemian Rhapsody.

And while I think Baz Luhrman is a great director, I think Dexter Fletcher does better music Biopics so I think he should be in charge of it.
