The magic is gone

I'm watching it right now (paused) and I can tell you that though it's nice to see the characters again, the further family adventures are just not very captivating. And Saul Goodman just does not fit in this movie.

reply

Paused? Oh. So you’re watching a bootleg?

Maybe the degraded experience has something to do with the fact you’re watching a bootleg, while talking on a web forum; instead of paying to see it with an audience on the big screen.

Go see it properly before you form an opinion based off a knockoff viewing.

What a self righteous prick

reply

Freeloading movies funded by other people and I’m the self righteous one? Okay...

reply

I was more referring to you thinking that your way of watching movies is the correct one and anyone that doesn't go to the theater hasn't "experienced" it correctly.

Also you going out of your way to change the topic entirely off of one single word when this discussion has nothing to do with pirating. He wanted to discuss the movie and how a sequel released 10+ years later just doesn't feel the same, and wanted to see other people's opinions. Not some guy's opinion on pirating.

reply

If he watched it illegally, as a bootleg at home, he's the prick. And no, he has not experienced it correctly. He's accepted a watered-down version because he's too dumb and/or lazy and/or cheap to see it as it was meant to be seen. So please don't defend the lowbrow, knuckle-draggers who are making the world that much worse for the rest of us through their foolishness.

reply

FilmBuff, you dont know sh*t why he is pausing it. And the rest of your posting could get lost the same way like you.

reply

Yes, as you are a prime example of the lowbrow, knuckle-draggers who are making the world that much worse for the rest of us through their foolishness, I imagine you would like to see me "get lost," because I engage in friendly, intelligent discussion of film here, rather than taking your approach of flitting around insulting people and being negative simply for the sake of being rude.

reply

He's right, you're a self righteous prick. So are you filmbuff.
Suggesting someone is actually making the world a worse place for simply watching pirated films?
SELF RIGHTEOUS PRICK!

"too dumb, lazy or cheap to see it as it was meant to be seen"

You literally have idea why he can't see it at the cinema, you presumptious, self righteous piece of shit.
I hope aids gets ya

reply

But we can be fairly sure based on probability that he didn't watch it in the cinema eue to him being cheap scate.

reply

You think being a judgemental prick is a good look?

reply

@abigolckeok: Sure, but whether you like it or not, these are theatrical experiences. I wouldn’t be saying this if it was on Blu-ray or some good home theater presentation. But it’s a bootleg probably shot with a camcorder from the back of the theater? That’s a facsimile of the experience at best. It’s not going to move you in the same way.

No loa14 has a point. The bootleg version with its scratchy audio makes the movie seem pretty lame. I watched the boot leg trying to recatch plot points I missed but can't understand it most of the time.

reply

I agree the boot leg sucked. The audio from it is drawned by the surround sound track for some reason.

reply

It really isn't though. I had a feeling of deep satisfaction when the movie was over at the move theater, even felt like clapping (which is rare for me). Job well done.

reply

Nah, it was great.

reply

Is disagree. The family dynamic is on point, and that is the most interesting part of the Incredibles films.

The superhero stuff is fine, but superhero movies are generally one note anyway.
