Science vs praying to God

Through the first half of the movie, Omalu is going on and on about how science trumps everything, i.e., profits, people's obsession with football, etc.

Then he crawls into bed and tells his unborn child that since it is still in touch with God, it should talk to God on his behalf to straighten this whole mess up.

So he tells everyone else to stop their unscientific beliefs (football is safe, etc.) and uses his own. Great!

The movie also showed his home decorated with religious crosses so I have to assume Omalu actually is a Christian. But does that conflict with his science? I imagine it would. (God is not responsible for the bad things in the world? Only the good things? God chooses which prayers to answer and which to ignore?)

Truly enlightened people understand that belief in God and belief in Science are not mutually exclusive. They coexist.

I'm agostic, but you are 100% correct Mike.

It's just that it does not coexist in the truly enlightened.
