Already has a zero on Rotten Tomatoes.
Granted there's only two reviews.
shareYeah, I love me some Brian De Palma, but this looks about as generic as they come. The guy should probably take a note from one of his peers (Lucas, Coppola) and just retire already.
shareI grabbed it from Redbox the other day and gave it a watch.
It's a train wreck, but kind of an interesting one. At times you can see De Palma's talent really shine through and at others the film feels amateurish.
It's a weird mix of vision and failure. The story doesn't feel cookie cutter, but it unfolds awkwardly. De Palma makes interesting and stylish use of light and color, but the cinematography often feels flat and overly digital. The cast has some very talented performers, but they give performances which often feel forced and unnatural.
I can't say the movie is good. It's hard to believe that the same guy who made Scarface and Carlito's Way made this thing. But at the same time, I don't really regret watching it either.
I just watched it on Netflix. It was decent. 6/10
shareI agree but I gave it an 8/10.
shareIt is a trainwreck... no way it is even close to 6/10 or 8/10... this is closer to a 2/10 maybe 3/10 on a good day...
shareNope.
shareName one good or interesting thing in this movie?
shareBeen a long time since I watched so I can't name specifics, but I enjoyed it.
shareWell you probably enjoyed it because it was so bad it was funny... it had entertainment value because it was so horrendous... watch it again and get back to men it you still think it is good movie...
shareI have no interest in movies that are "so bad, they're good".
Is it really so hard to grasp that some might like something you don't?
Yeah when it is this bad it is... at least it has a imdb rating at 4.4 which is still to high but at least still a terrible rating...
shareI agree. The rating is low and I generally won't even watch something rated under 5 so I'm not really sure why I watched it but I did and I enjoyed it.
I don't put a lot of stock in ratings so something caught my eye, lol. For instance, I think "Inside" is absolutely stupid, far fetched and awful but a lot of people like it and it's rated 6.8
One man's trash is another man's treasure.
True... and of course you are allowed to enjoy it... I was just surprised anybody actually liked it...
