The Expanse has gone down the drain since moving to Amazon

The first three seasons are spectacular.

The show moves to Amazon and the last two season have been lousy.

I'm sad about that, but afraid I have to agree. Season 4 was not terrible, but Season 5 was pretty bad actually. I tried to like it, and there were some good things, but all in all they lost the edge and point of the show. I watched it, but as soon as it was over could hardly care less at this point.

I am sad as well! It is so strange. In Season 4 the show just ignored the best characters but was still setting up some interesting stories with them.

Season 5 was just so terrible. The show split everyone up and focused so much time on Naomi's silly family storyline. It was just bizarre.

It's been 2 episodes now, and S6E2 is one of the best in the series. You should take another look.

It’s Amazon. What do they know about TV? It’s like Apple and Netflix and all the other streaming services. We go, “So cool! It’s streaming! It’s so NOW.” Yeah: it’s so now BAD. You may reply, “But they hired people who know what to do,” to which I reply, “But who hired and managed them? People who don’t know what to do.”

It takes more than throwing money at something to make it good. Case in point: Netflix’ Red Notice.

It was always at the bottom of the sewer for me. I saw the miserable, dark, nihilistic first season and said "No thanks. I'm not watching this shit."

Well, that's the nice thing about it.

If you didn't finish the first season try to watch it till the end. Will become clearer why is the best scifi show in years.

Well, S4 was the worst for me, after we saw all the possibilities opened up by the Ring, the entire season took place on one single planet. While this might be explained by budgetary constrains, it still was a huge dissapointment.

The latest 2 seasons were better IMHO.

I don't know if it's lousy but the quality certainly hasn't been the same unfortunately.
