Season 4, September 2018

I'm mostly on board with this. It boils down to making a show of good quality. If this were a lesser show or on a different network, or an earlier season, I might question the network's commitment, but I feel like ultimately this is fine. Just makes me curious. If they feel they need that long to craft a good season, when it's not like the first three have been bad (duh), makes me think they may be planning to wind down soon. Which would make sense. If at Season 4, the show is nearing the ending stages, the writing will need to be more intricate. Plus, they may be wanting/needing to include characters already established in Breaking Bad, which in turn could mean having to adhere to the actors' schedules a bit more.

I'm not okay with it as it makes me wonder WHY does Vince Gilligan need such a long stretch to eek out such a scant storyline. Based on the last 3 seasons we really haven't seen THAT much character development just tidbits of added background information for ancillary characters from Breaking Bad: Gus, Mike, Hector and his crew. Other showrunners have been busy shelling out multiple projects every year but Gilligan only has this one show.

September?!? Aw, fuck.

And here I was looking forward to my usual springtime with Jimmy/Saul/Gene.

Personally, I'm kind of relieved. I seem to watch a lot more TV shows in the spring, so many that they get crowded onto my dvr and I barely have the time to watch them all.

I'm glad it's moving to the Fall. Hardly anything on then that I watch.

Not happy with this delay at all. It's not such an incredibly intricate writing, of course you'd think the longer you work on it the "better" it can be, but in reality:

1- artists, especially talented ones, under pressure perform better than when they have too much freedom.
2- over polishing drama takes the life out of it.
3- actors are aging badly, they should speed up not slow down, assuming they want to go for a fifth season, I will find it difficult to believe Mike and Saul are younger than in Breaking Bad (unless they just focus on the after Breaking Bad).

Excellent! Thanks for the heads up, Bruno! I will eagerly await its return, as it's one of the best shows on TV.
