Good for him because it's been a while since he's had a real hit.

Yeah, it's been five years since Fury, and that's the last film he lead that could rightfully be called a hit.
Personally, I enjoyed Allied and think that film deserved more attention that it got, but it did pretty poorly at the box office. A good film, but definitely not a hit.
