In true Scooby Doo fashion. Rey, Finn and Poe defeat Palpatine and in the final scene remove his mask.

It was old man Binks who runs the old haunted amusement park after all.

Too late for her to turn to the dark side; that needed to happen in the 2nd film to be interesting. No way it happens now, the perfectly awesome and noble MaRey Sue is never going to lose or face an actual challenge once this entire trilogy.
