Proof Rottentomatoes Rigged TROS Audience Score

The audience score has been frozen at 86% fresh since Dec. 20 despite thousands of reviews being added. This is not mathematically possible.

Bullshit tinfoil hat conspiracy theories

Explain how the audience score hasn't gone up or down after adding thousands of reviews. I provided links to click on. Anyone who clicks them will see, but you won't click them.

Except that you can buy votes on Rotten Tomatoes & IMDB.

Actually, you can not only buy them, you can do it for less than you'd think.

1000 ratings goes for as low as $187.

How come Disney didn’t splurge for a 90%?

reply

Gee, I don't know . . . didn't want to overplay their losing hand, maybe?

Perhaps their aren't enough worker-bees in India to offset the volume of shitposts.

How's that tinfoil thing working-out for you?

I don’t think 86% is that great of score for a film made for fans, but Star Wars fans are not easy to please. It’s not really hard to believe many rate it 3.5/5 which is a fair score, people who hated the last two stopped going.

Thinking way way back, when I saw ANH at the drive-in, I'm still stunned at how the PT turned-out, much less what's happened with Disney - although I strongly suspected that Disney was going to gay it up big-time.

The raw enthusiasm for the OT was just unreal, I never would have believed that SW could get so fucked-up.

In fairness to the hardcore fans, were it not them, I don't believe SW would have made it this far. I know more than a few people that spent a shitload of money on stuff over the decades. They're entitled to be pissed-off for being attacked, even with as 'different' as many of them are.

Our town doctor that lives a couple doors up from us, just a few years younger than me, a great guy who just loves SWs, but has concerns about the way things have gone.

So, it's not really just 'guys living in their parents basement' that are into this - even today it cuts a wide swath across the culture.

These people are MovieChat's Morons. There are far too many votes to be manipulated by bots.

You're supposed to click More Info. 86% is verified, so it's more accurate. Total is just 78%. There are also averages, because percentages are bullshit based on a 3/5 threshold.

For the ~70,000 ratings presently showing on RT, Disney could have purchased every single vote at ~15.8 cents/vote, for a grand total of ~$11,060.

Though I suppose Disney could negotiate a volume discount.

You don't have a clue about statistics! The larger a poll sample is, the more accurate it is.

The Imdb rating started low due to fake votes and rose fast. Once it hit about 30K voters it levelled off at 7.0.

Nope, it all hinges on how the data set is selected, and that's assuming the data isn't purposely salted.

When the boycott doesn't work, it's time to bend over and push out the excuses from your salty cheeks.

reply

More conspiracy theories. No boycott, just trolling.
