So Rey is a Skywalker?

Do we care who Po's parents are?
Do we care who Finn's parents are?
Do we care who Huck's parents are?


No.

Why? The story/plot didn't make us question this and think it is important.

The Force Awakens totally set this up and made it an issue, it told the audience that her backstory is important and made us wonder who the parents are.

Then.....instead of having a planned out story arc already worked out in advance, instead of having a rough idea of how these three films will work together, what build up and payoffs they will have, what character development the characters would have.....they give us the swapping directors and each director gets to just make it up as you go along.

In comes director number 2 to just throw it out......it doesn't matter, she's a no one. The first film set it up for nothing. Remember the chemistry and friendship brewing with Po and Finn.....I'll throw that out too, they pretty much never appear on screen together anymore....instead of them having adventures together like Luke and Han did.....I give you Rose. Remember how the light saber called to Rey? What was the story behind that? Nothing, we get our expectations subverted. Snoke? Forget out it, he's dead, not important. How did Rey get so good so fast? What is the story for that? Throw that out. We'll double down, she's even more powerful now, she tops Luke, tops Kylo. No explanation, it just is.

That's what you get with this stupid....no story, no plan, no framework......just director switching mad libs.

She is the Emporers kid. I've been saying this since they revealed the Emporer being in it.
