I just saw the film.

It's right up there with DAD if not, worse. Looks like we'll have to wait another 6 years for the franchise to be revived again.

LOL Die Another Day, the last proper Bond film?!

I'd be utterly amazed if it was up there with that...

Die Another Day is terrible... at least for what used to be a Bond movie. It doesn't come even close to GoldenEye or Tomorrow Never Dies, the two best ones from Brosnan.

reply

The miracle is that Die Another Day was somehow fabricated by the disasterous Purvis & Wade, who also wrote the terrible World is not Enough and all the Craig garbage. I can't remember what the exact story was though, I think others may have been involved hence it's relative saving.

But I'd agree with you otherwise that Brosnan's other efforts are better than TWINE, which is proto-Craig "Bond".

My problem with No Time to Die is that it's a direct sequel to Spectre and has to carry that movies problems over to this film. It's like The Rise of Skywalker having to take all the baggage from The Last Jedi, it's a crappy hand to be dealt.

I'd say this is just about worth a watch once but it just proves that giving continuity and a long emotional character arc over several films is a bad idea.

As I watching it all I kept thinking was "This is well directed crap" a bit like The Last Jedi haha.

You kidding? I liked DAD, especially the sword variations fight scene.

They have the audacity to kill James Bond. It'll be voted the worst 007 film by fans in years to come. I hope it flops.
