why Lashana Lynch is the future of the 007 franchise

dang this sucks so bad. if ur gonna make james bond an afro american waman at least make her hot for fucks sake.... this actress looks like a baboon, nobody is gonna want to pay money to watch that... james bond is dead as far as im concerned, they kill him like the many other beautiful special parts of my childhood...

The article argues that the franchise - "the world of 007" - will go to new heights with a change of direction, but the problem as I see it is that there is no "world of 007". James Bond is that world. Otherwise we're just talking about a heightened/sensational spy-thriller with MI:6 agents. This isn't like Spiderman or Superman where there's this whole mythology to pull from, this would be like saying, "Hey, we're going to do a Superman movie but instead of Superman, here's this new character who has superpowers. But it's Superman."

A movie series about a different spy character could be great. I'm not even saying Lashana Lynch's character is going to be bad, I'm just saying that retiring James Bond and pretending like the Bond franchise is a continuation is disingenuous rubbish.
