I've never seen such a miserable Christmas
Everyone in EP4 was having major issues that night. It was overkill, and a little unrealistic. The writers make an effort to make these cops miserable in every season of TD.
shareYou're confused due to the constant state of darkness in the show. It was Christmas EVE. We haven't gotten to Christmas Day yet. Remember how Hank's supposed to spend that day with his son Peter and his wife because his Russian bride was a NO SHOW???

Because if you think some MAJOR ISSUES were happening in Ep. 4, a TV critic who's already seen Ep. 5 says there's something coming up tomorrow night that will make the misery that you've seen EXPONENTIALLY much, more worse than you can probably even imagine!!!
Have you seen Fargo (the movie that spawned the other Fargo TV shows on the FX channel)??? Something very Fargo-esque will be happening in the NIGHT COUNTRY.

On the contrary, ROSE wasn't having any issues. She was having herself a FINE TIME and didn't look Miserable at all. Remember how she also said Navarro was the GIFT that Travis had given her???

No nit-picking or hair splitting. Since Hank invites himself to his son's house for Christmas, we haven't gotten to Christmas Day yet. And Pete also didn't look very happy about it when his father invites himself over to his place.
Remember how Pete's wife and Danvers got into a Big fight about her step-daughter being given the temporary tattoo that some of the NATIVES wear on their chins?
And how HANK hangs out with the HILLBILLIES who got into the fight in the Bar and at the hospital???
My guess is Hank and Pete's wife will get into another argument the same way as she did with DANVERS. PLUS Leah (DANVERS step daughter) is also staying at Pete's place as well now because she painted MURDERERS across the building that belongs to the MINE COMPANY.
So imagine Leah and Pete fighting about the way that she's PROTESTING now (the same way as ANNIE use to do).
In other words, I'm betting ALL kinds of HELL breaks loose at Pete's place tomorrow night after Hank arrives.
Oh, great, so I am not the only one thinking this season of TD is a little Fargo-esque...
