On Hemsworths Intsgram just now

Hemsworth seems comfortable with comedy, but...

Liam Neeson? Emma Thompson? Tessa Thompson? Not names I think of when I think comedy.

Tessa Thompson seems to be trying to channel Will Smith... and failing at it. He's a tough act to follow.

Not getting a good vibe here.

Liam Neeson does great improvisational comedy

reply

Does he really? Any examples on Youtube?

He did do that western comedy with Seth McFarlane, but he played it straight. Love Actually showed off some humour instead of outright comedy. Other than those two examples I can't think of anything he's been in that shows off comedic skills.

I've seen this bit before. I had forgotten about it, but it is funny as hell, more for the way all four actors play off each other. But again Neeson plays it straight and serious and all the humour comes from the reactions of the other three to his super seriousness.

Maybe in the new MIB he'll be the deadpan Tommy Lee Jones fill-in for Hemsworth to work off of.

It's like they decided the original actors had too much charisma. Looks like we have another Sony flop on our hands.

reply

he really does shine in comedy.

Looks fine. Doesn't look amazing or terrible. It does look a bit too retready of what we've already seen. But MiB is one of those movies where they could easily crank out a hundred of them. I have no idea why they haven't been doing exactly that. Story options are limitless.

reply

Yeah, what the hell, it'll probably be a fun way to kill a couple of hours.

I'm not expecting earthshaking brilliance or originality, but Hemsworth is usually fun and always hot. I'll spend twelve bucks to enjoy his company.

reply

Ohhhhhhhh. International is the name of the movie? I thought I was watching the "international" version of the trailer. That wasn't very clear at all.
