JUST WATCHED, NOT COOLER THAN SAM RAIMI'S SPIDERMAN

It's now clear, no one can top Sam Raimi's Benchmark movie Spiderman.

Sam Raimi's movies were a benchmark for super hero films at the time, but they certainly didn't age well. The only reason they still hold up at all is due to nostalgia.

I wouldn't say no one can, I'd just say no one has.

Tbh I love Raimi's Spider-Man - his films are iconic. But they're also not without their flaws. Kirsten Dunst being a major one. And Tobey Maguire, while great, isn't the perfect Spider-Man, he's just the best one we've got so far. Choosing someone who could play a teenager and a college-aged student was wise, but Maguire was still too old looking for the part.

I think it's good to hope that there can be a better Spider-Man movie one day. I'm not saying I want a billion of these films, but I like Tom Welling as Clark Kent more than Reeves (gasp!). We should all be hoping for better movies. Homecoming was definitely not that, though.
