Way too many sexual jokes (that were crude and mostly unfunny)

This film was more enjoyable than Andrew Garfield's last two films, but "Penis Parker" really caught me off guard and seemed largely out of place for a Spider-Man film. In fact, this was one of the moments where they tried too hard to be funny, in my opinion. I know that "...Homecoming" really emphasized high school life, but come on.

Moreover, I largely did my best to ignore Zendaya, who is a race baiting cop hater. Her little line about activism and linking slavery to the Washington Monument almost made me gag along with the teacher that said "protesting is patriotic" (a large nod to terrorist supporting and cop hating groups like "Black Lives Matter"). Turns out that the writers and Zendaya were only partially correct about that though. There is NO direct evidence that slaves were hauled in to D.C. to built the Monument...although labor certainly did play a role in making it happen.

sounds like left wing liberal shit, straight from hollywood......
typical

Agreed. They just can't let it go and it's beyond sad with their constant whining. Now they have to inject their anger and sadness into films too. It's been about eight months now and it's time to move on. Hollywood really needs to get a serious grip here.

Just go back to watch Faux News

reply

A standard reply from someone who can't even defend a word that I just said. Fox News isn't perfect, but they're certainly a step up when compared to their mainstream competitors in my opinion. In fact, they had the least slanted coverage during the 2016 U.S. election.

While we're on the topic, however, I'm curious to find out who you watch. Fake News CNN, perhaps? If so, you might want to look elsewhere being that they have been exposed for manipulating their stories all for the sake of "ratings."

reply

No one need to watch the news on TV.......you can get the real news online.
Sadly libtards and left wingers believe the late night talk shows are the news/truth.........a shame, they used to be real fun to watch

They said protesting was patriotic during the Bush era. It became racist during the Obama era. Now "resistance" is patriotic again under Trump. It must be understood these people have a rabid ideological agenda, as fervent as any cultists in any faith group are. And their entire moral paradigm is based on what furthers their agenda, not on anything that can be judged objectively.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Well said!

I agree with the first clause in your first sentence. I had no idea that "Penis Parker" was supposed to be actually funny. I thought they were just demonstrating that character was, pun intended, a dick. I guess that is pretty crude, and maybe even shocking, by today's standards.

*sigh* I miss the days when Christopher Walken shot Catwoman at point-blank range.

I agree. And the "joke" about how Ned was "Looking at porn..." Spider-Man is supposed to be family friendly. Didn't appreciate having to dodge questions from the 10 year old about what "porn" means. This combined with the constant
use of the word "d-bag" from Rocket and Ego and Drax making sex jokes in GOTG 2....I thought Disney was for families?

reply

People seem to forget the differences between PG and PG-13. Sure, it's not an R rated movie and is mostly family friendly but the 13 part of PG-13 means the studio suggests kids under the age of 13 might need to stay home.

I agree that penis Parker was the worst part. Actually the whole flash character was stupid as F

That bothered me a bit too. I'm hoping this highschools setting doesn't stick around too long. I prefer Adult Peter to teen Peter. Of course fans of the Ultimate Universe will disagree with me.
