Could this bring back the erotic thriller to prominence?

Not only is Adrian Lyne (Fatal Attraction, Indecent Proposal, Unfaithful) directing it but it's based off a Highsmith novel.

The Adult Entertainment industry has SLAUGHTERED mainstream erotica. Period. “How you gonna keep ‘em down on the farm, after they’ve seen Pair-ee?” Ship has SAILED.

Between this movie and The Voyeurs over on Amazon....yeah, just maybe. Tinseltown's going to have tread lightly here though. The Woke Warriors are hardly in retreat, and one "wrong" move can get someone cancelled for "pandering to the male gaze"

Fuck the woke warriors. Anything that riles them up is a huge recommendation. The terrible reviews for this (and the return of Adrian Lyne) assured me it would be worth watching and it didn’t disappoint.

I saw it on Amazon Prime and I think it will do well, De Armas is white hot right now and Gone Girl fans will be happy to see Affleck dealing with a crazy bitch again. Really solid 4-star smutty thriller 🥂

Drooch, I remember you from TMDB. Do you still visit their at all?

reply

I just saw it, I wouldn't remotely qualify this borefest an erotic thriller. If I had to pay for it I would have been scarred for eternity.

reply

I want to see more new erotic thrillers, but I hope they are better than this one.

reply

Seeing how the studio canceled the theatrical release and dumped it on Hulu, I don't think so.

reply

I wish! but at the age of Wokeism? I don't think so unfortunately. as someone mentioned above, one wrong move could give the wokes the male gaze boner and that would eff the movie up for good.
