? In whose phone was it recorded? Who would want to start recording a phone call or even have a time to click record button in emergency during a phone call ?

I think Catwoman said her friend called her right before it began for help and the phone stayed connected and the murder was recorded on Catwoman’s voicemail.

Oh, got it. Thanks for the reply.

But why did the Catwoman checked her voicemails so late? She would have known if she had checked her voice mails the same night when her friend disappeared or the next day after she found her dead body!

Catwoman's phone was stolen (she said it to Batman when they first returned to her home all messed up). She found her phone from the corrupt cop whom she captured and it was then and there she found the voice mail.
