I don't think I've seen him in anything so whatever. I guess they wanted a younger actor. All depends on writing and direction more than whether this guy is decent actor or not. OK well he has to be at least a decent actor lol

Don't know his work but he looks the part enough. I'm kind of excited for a young Batman for once.

Well he's only a year or two younger than Christian Bale was when he filmed Batman Begins & if anything looks "old" for his age by Hollywood standards.

People are saying that physicality doesn't matter, and all that matters is whether the actor is good or not.

Sorry, but I disagree. This is a comic-book adaptation. Visuals matter, especially since film, like comic-books, is a visual medium, and one needs to get the basics (i.e. casting) right, in order to facilitate the audience's suspension of disbelief.

So, that being said, I have my reservations about Jack O'Connell, who, according to the IMDb, is only 5'8". Plus, why can't we have an American play an American for once?
