So you're telling me this movie made over a billion and Justice league didn't?

I'd like to look at that as a missed opportunity for DC fans but not a sad time for Comic Book fans. Eventually Warner/DC will make a good to decent JL movie that fans like and is critically praised. There is just too much money out there for it not to happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Warner/DC does a completely unexpected move and does an animated version of JL that cracks the Box Office. They appear much more comfortable with stories and characters for their animated releases.

For me the definitive version and the best Batman movie is Mask of the Phantasm which got a botched theatrical release. The casting was excellent, the villain was top notch. Mark Hamill was chillingly maniacal as the Joker, the noir feel or gothic feel was tone perfect.

Someone will do a fully rendered all CGI animated Superhero movie that will reap Box Office gold.

With the exception of Wonder Woman, it should be no mystery why DC/Warner haven’t been exciting comic book movie fans, let alone the movie going public. Justice League was more of a sequel to BVS, and that movie killed a lot of interest in the DCEU. It certainly didn’t help that JL got a lackluster reception.

Black Panther and Marvel, on the other hand, have proven to be super successful for all the right reasons.

DC fans must be absolutely seething that a minor (pun intended) Marvel character effortlessly destroyed their high-profile, excessively budgeted and total failure Avengers knock off. Black Panther has set up another huge franchise for Disney while DC have to go back to the drawing board and go through yet another tired reboot.

What's sad about it? Do you have WB shares? Don't compensate by projecting onto things you have no stakes in, like comparing box office of movies. It's what losers without a life do.

Batman and Superman (and Spiderman) are the classics since decades, but overused and overmilked, they need to rest for some time until there is no audience fatigue anymore. But then they will return stronger than before, like with Schumacher killing Batman and Nolan then creating the pinnacle CBM movies for millennium.
