Black Panther is a great move because we've never seen him on the big screen before, but bad because I believe it's at the tail end of this fad.
For Marvel the Superhero movie is far from a fad and BP did not follow a "Chosen One" trope.

No, Marvel films seems to be ticking right along with the hits, the last "Spider-Man" film was another huge hit and the stupid "Thor" movie opening soon has good buzz. If Marvel ever falters, it'll be with "Infinity Wars", which is massively expensive, in two parts, and is built on references to other Marvel films.

I can't say I'm eager to see "Black Panther" myself, but then I found his appearance in the Avengers film underwhelming. But other people seem to be gaga about the new trailer and looking forward to it, so it'll probably be a hit as well.

Is it too late for this topic?

With the over saturation of topics wondering if superhero movies will fail due to over saturation every time one is about to come out, is it too late for another?
